Facial Acupuncture
Acupuncture has been around for quite a long time and isn’t actually a recent trend. It was popular amongst ancient court ladies in China. Facial Acupuncture considers the underlying causes of the aging process. Some people may be more prone to Heat in their body, and Heat tends to dry. Others may be “Blood Deficient”, which broadly means that your “Blood” may not be optimally nourished, and so will not nourish your skin optimally…

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture Benefits
  • Muscle Tone is increased
  • Skin Tone is improved with extra blood flow and oxygenation
  • Collagen Production is increased
  • Fine lines and wrinkles are reduced
  • Improves complexion
  • Overall relaxation

Facial Acupuncture and Rejuvenation therefore involves more than treating the face. Underlying individual issues are determined and treated as well as the face. Hence Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture will be more efficient when any underlying issues are also treated.TCM and Naturopathy then come into play and can offer extra help with helpful nutritional and/or supplementary advice. For instance, maybe sometimes we just need to be reminded of the benefits of a good night’s sleep.

'A Clinical trial from 1996 on Facial Acupuncture (Journal of Clinical Acupuncture) showed marked improvement for 90 % of the 300 cases in the following areas: Overall rejuvenation, Improvement in elasticity ( ie tone), reduction of wrinkles, a brighter complexion ( more glow)'

The Treatment includes
  • A thorough Chinese and Naturopathic Diagnosis
  • Body and Facial Acupuncture
  • Face and Neck Relaxation Massage
  • A Facial Cellular Nutrition Application with Cutting Edge Natural Nutrients.
  • An initial treatment and diagnosis may last up to 1.5 hr, and consecutive treatments take around 1 hr.

The amount of treatments needed to show improvement in skin tone and reduction in lines varies on the person. On average 10 sessions are required, preferably with a few days to a week spaced in between. Results tend to be visible after 6- 7 treatments, but can vary individually.

How does it work?
  • Underlying issues are treated
  • The needles reach deep layers of the dermis, and stimulate collagen production
  • The needles improve local blood flow and hence nourish the local area
  • The “Qi” ‘s flow is improved
  • Muscle groups are stimulated
  • Metabolic Rate is increased by stimulating “Essence points”
  • SuperNutrients nourish the skin locally

Does it hurt?

The experience generally is well received, and in fact many enjoy the sensation the needles provide, as they impact positively on our energy levels. The needles are truly quite thin and nothing like conventional medical needles.
